I’m an urban educator in a major metropolitan area. I’ve been trying to figure out this gig for over a decade. I think I’m finally getting it. I also am a travel nut and am always looking for my next adventure. I also pretend to cook and know a little bit about wine. And sometimes the major story of where I live has to do with how flippin’ cold it is. So sometimes that sneaks its way in too… Hopefully you’ll find this somewhat entertaining, enlightening, and give you a little perspective on urban education. Thanks for visiting!

Thanks for your blog regarding Ganag. As a music teacher teaching K-5 elementary at one school and instrumental music 6-8 at a different school every day Goals on the board with interaction ( I know there is more coming ) are killing me. And when each little bit is presented in a cute way with no picture of the whole my frustration level is off the charts.
I’m looking forward to reading more of what you’ve written.

Nice blog! I work for Minnesota Tourism, and was glad to see such in-depth comments about the metro area attractions you experienced during your summer school course.
